IHS Offers National Fire Protection Association Documents and Codes Online

IHS provides NFPA national fire codes and handbooks online, offering extensive, life-saving requirements for numerous industries.

DENVER, April 3, 2001 - IHS Engineering, the leading worldwide provider of technical standards, specifications, logistics and parts information, announced today it now offers National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) national fire codes and handbooks via the Internet, as well as on CD-ROM. Through this new product, customers can access the codes, standards and handbooks easily and conveniently.

NFPA codes and standards are developed under the approved process of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and are widely used as a basis of legislation and regulation at all levels of government. NFPA documents available through IHS in electronic format include National Fire Codes, the Life Safety Code Handbook, the Fire Protection Handbook, the Fire Prevention Code Handbook, the National Electrical Code Handbook, and many more.

The new NFPA product is available through subscription packages giving customers immediate, easy access to critical information directly at their desktops. Single documents can also be purchased from the IHS retail division, IHS/Global (global.ihs.com).
