Sales Taxes

All U.S. purchases will be charged applicable state and local sales taxes. If exempt, a copy of the exemption certificate must accompany the order or be on file at IHS/Global. Additional taxes or fees may apply to international orders. International customers should contact their nearest Global Info Centre office to find out applicable costs.

Credit Cards

MasterCard, VISA, Discover and American Express are accepted in the U.S. State and local sales tax plus shipping/handling as outlined below will be added.

Discounts
|
IHS/Global offers quantity discounts and member discounts for selected Standard Developing Organizations (SDOs). If an order is eligible for both a quantity discount and a member discount, the higher of the two is applied. All discounts are applied after the bring-to-minimum processing fee is applied if applicable (See Minimum Order section above).
Quantity discounts are available for the following SDOs: API, CEA, DELPHI-I, DELTA, ECA, EIA, GEIA, GM, GMB, GMI, GMW, HOLDEN, ISUZU, JAA, JEDEC, NEMA, OPEL & TIA.
IHS/Global currently honors member discounts on this web site for the following SDOs: AGMA, API, AWS, BSI & NEMA.

Shipping Methods

Standard shipping is First Class Mail, UPS or other cost-effective ground service carriers. Other options, including next-day air, air express, and FAX transmission are available. Additional costs may apply. International orders are expedited using the most cost effective international carrier. A delay may occur in your shipment depending on your geographic location. If you are unsure about what your shipping costs may be, please contact your nearest Global Info Centre.

Return Policy
|
|
All returns must be pre-approved and returned within 30 days of invoice date. Please call 800-624-3974 or direct line at 303-792-2181 or email globalcustomerservice@ihs.com for a return authorization. Electronically supplied products, special orders and age-dated materials may not be returned. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

What is a secure PDF?
|
|
In an effort to protect their intellectual property and enforce existing copyright laws, many Standards Developing Organizations have required all distributors of their content to implement a security feature that prevents the reproduction and redistribution of downloaded documents.
In compliance with this request, we have implemented a security policy that utilizes a free Adobe Acrobat plug-in from FileOpen Systems, Inc. Security Features: - Reproduction and Redistribution Restrictions: This security system has been implemented through the use of a free Adobe Acrobat plug-in that "locks" the PDF file to the computer on which it was first opened. Once a PDF file has been locked to a computer, it can be opened only from that computer.
- Networking Restrictions: Secure PDF files cannot be used in a multi-user, network environment. If you are interested in purchasing standards for you internal corporate network, please contact your local IHS Office to obtain a network version of the document(s) and a network license.
- Viewing Restrictions: You will be required to download the free plug-in to view any secured PDF document. There is no limit to the number of times a document may be viewed on your computer.
- Printing Restrictions: The plug-in limits the number of times the document may be printed to one copy. Since printing a part of the document is interpreted by the software as the one allowable print attempt, we recommend you print the entire document.
- Copy & Paste Restrictions: The ability to copy and paste text from the PDF file has been disabled.
Download Instructions: - All electronic documents will be delivered via an email containing a link to the document(s) ordered. The email will also contain detailed download instructions as well as a link for downloading the plug-in.
- You will have 48 hours in which to download the document(s) ordered.
- Click on the "http://plugin.fileopen.com/plugininstallpage.html" link in the email or on this page to go to the plug-in download page. Download the applicable plug-in for your operating system. This only needs to be done once.
- Once the plug-in has been downloaded, click on the document link(s) at the bottom of the electronic document delivery email to download your document(s).
- If you experience problems downloading the plug-in or document or have additional questions regarding secured PDF files, contact our customer support department at (800) 624-3974 (within the US and Canada) or (303) 792-2181 or send an email to globalcustomerservice@ihs.com.
