Full Description

This standard addresses the testing requirements for internetwork connections employing Common Channel Signaling (CCS) based on Signaling System No. 7 (SS7) protocol used in North America. The internetwork connection 5 be either within or between North American countries. This standard provides a list of test scripts for testing compatibility between the interconnecting networks of the Message Transfer Part (MTP), level 2 and level 3, of the SS7 protocol. MTP level 1 tests are not included here because they are transmission tests in nature and not related to the SS7 protocol. This standard references material in ANSI T1 SS7 protocol standards. Formerly known as T1.234-2000(R2004).
