Scope: Describes the general corrosion protection requirements applicable to the surface treatment and finishing of space flight hardware. This NASA Technical Standard contains the minimum requirements necessary to qualify materials and processes (M&P) for corrosion control of space flight hardware. Additional testing may be required to meet the requirements contained in NASA-STD-6016, Standard Materials and Processes Requirements for Spacecraft.
