The purpose of this standard is to provide the requirements for materials, testing, inspection, and shipping of PE pipe (3/4 in. [19 mm] through 3 in. [76 mm]) and PE tubing (3/4 in. [19 mm] through 2 in. [51 mm]) for potable water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems. This standard can be referenced when purchasing and receiving PE pressure pipe and tubing for use in potable water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems. This standard can be used as a guide for manufacturing this type of pressure pipe and tubing. The stipulations of this standard apply when this document has been referenced and then only to 3/4-in. (19-mm) through 3-in. (76-mm) PE pipe and 3/4-in. (19-mm) through 2-in. (51-mm) tubing for potable water, wastewater, and reclaimed water service.
