This specification covers the requirements for self-contained, low temperature, electrically operated, mechanically refrigerated cabinets for storing frozen food.
The frozen food cabinets covered by this specification shall be of the following types, sizes, grades, and classes as specified (see 6.2).
Type I - Upright cabinet. Size 1 - 11.0 cubic feet minimum capacity. Size 2 - 17.0 cubic feet minimum capacity. Type II - Chest cabinet - 18 cubic feet. Grade A - Outer shell - Baked enamel on steel or on aluminum. Inner liner - Aluminum, stainless steel, baked enamel on steel, or porcelain enamel on steel or plastic. Grade B - Outer shell - Porcelain enamel on steel. Inner liner - Stainless steel or porcelain enamel on steel or plastic. Grade C - Outer shell - Stainless steel. Inner liner - Stainless steel. Grade D - Outer shell - Aluminum. Inner liner - Aluminum. Class 1 - Not radio interference suppressed. Class 2 - Radio interference suppressed.
