Description / Abstract:

2. Scope and Applicability

This method is intended to determine the target analytes in ambient air. Anthracene is collected as particulate matter on a PFTE filter; the other analytes are collected as vapors on coconut shell charcoal sorbent tubes. The working range is from a limit of detection of 1-20 ug/m3 (depending on the analyte) to 3500 ug/m3 for a 144 liter air sample (0.10 liters/min for 24 hours).
