Description / Abstract:

This specification covers steel sheet for roofing and siding, zinc-coated (galvanized) on continuous lines and by the cut length method. Material of this quality is furnished flat in coils and cut lengths and formed in cut lengths. Roofing and siding include corrugated, V-crimp, roll roofing, and many special patterns. Corrugated roofing and siding sheet is produced in a number of corrugations, with variations of pitch and depth. The most common corrugations are the standard 2 1/2in. (2.66-in. (68-mm) pitch by ½-in. (12.7-mm) depth) and the 11/4 in. (1.263-in. (32-mm) pitch by ¼-in. (6.35-mm) depth). The minimum zinc coating covered by this specification is in accordance with coating Designation G90. Heavier coatings are available in the "G" series of designations listed in the latest revision of Specification A 525.

Material supplied under this specification shall meet the applicable requirements of the latest revision of Specification A 525 unless otherwise specified herein.

The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard.
