This test method provides a means of determining the degree to
which gasket materials under compressive load adhere to metal
surfaces. The test conditions described are indicative of those
frequently encountered in gasket applications. Test conditions may
also be modified in accordance with the needs of specific
applications as agreed upon between the user and the producer. The
maximum temperature recommended for this test method is 205°C
(400°F).
