This Standard applies to cord-connected equipment rated 250 V
and less, single phase, to be operated from branch circuits fused

ordinary locations in accordance with the Canadian Electrical

the air in a room in which it operates, by condensing water vapour
on a suitably cooled surface, and having air cooled mechanical
refrigeration systems with a capacity not exceeding 36,000 Btu/h (3

electrical air heating means.
This Standard does not apply to equipment in which water vapour
is absorbed by an absorbent material over which air is
