Full Description

Preface:

This is the fourth edition of the CSA Z240 MH Series of Standards, Manufactured homes. It supersedes the previous edition, published in 2009, and in 1992 and 1986 under the title Mobile Homes.

Significant changes since the previous edition include the following:

     iii) reference to CSA A277 for marking and installation instructions.
b) In CSA Z240.2.1, Structural requirements for manufactured homes:
     i) revision of title to recognize the scope of the standard;
     ii) elimination of unnecessary duplication and some further alignment with the requirements of the National Building Code of Canada (NBC), through a general reference to the NBC and retention of specific provisions as necessary to address issues particular to manufactured homes; and
     iii) updating and addition of requirements to improve the energy efficiency of manufactured homes.
c) In CSA Z240.4.1, Installation requirements for gas- and oil-burning appliances in manufactured homes:
     i) expansion of scope to include requirements for oil-burning appliances to avoid duplication of many provisions; and
     ii) retention of provisions only as necessary to address issues particular to manufactured homes.
d) In CSA Z240.5.1, Installation requirements for oil-burning appliances in manufactured homes:
     i) withdrawal; and
