Description / Abstract:

PURPOSE. This order establishes broad roles, responsibilities, and accountability for operating an Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This order assigns requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, Public Law 91-596; Executive Order 12196, Occupational Safety and Health Programs for Federal Employees; and 29 Code of Federal Regulations Part 1960, Basic Program Elements for Federal Occupational Safety and Health Programs. This order implements DOT (Department of Transportation) 1000.17, Administrative Services Policy Functions.
