Additional Comments: CNCL NO S/S
The purpose of this handbook is to provide guidance in the application of human engineering to the design and development of management information (and related) software systems. The users of this document are intended to be any individual, or group, who participates in the development of software systems, including logicians, software engineers, end-system users, software development managers, programmers, system evaluators, and human factors engineers.
This handbook provides analysis techniques and methodologies for management information system development and presents human engineering guidelines for detailed user-computer interface software design. Where hardware design guidance is needed, the requirements of MIL-STD-1472 "Human Engineering Design Criteria for Military Systems, Equipment, and Facilities" should apply.
