This specification covers the requirements for the preservation packaging, packing, and marking of aircraft batteries and cells, charged and dry or uncharged and moist.
The batteries shall be in the following types as specified in 6.2:
Type I - Shielded - battery assembly completely enclosed in metal container. Type II - Unshielded - battery assembly enclosed in hard rubber, nylon or other non-metallic material. Type III - Individual cell.
