This specification covers the requirements for the qualification, repair, and rebuilding of aircraft pneumatic tires. A rebuilt aircraft tire is one which has had the tread, or the tread and the sidewall material of a worn tire replaced with new material by means of vulcanization. Rebuilt tires are sometimes referred to as retreaded, recapped, or remanufactured tires.
