Description / Abstract:

Stationary food-warming cabinets covered by this specification are intended for use in food preparation areas of consolidated messes, dining halls, and hospitals of the Navy, Army, and Air Force. The cabinets are designed to facilities servings during peak feeding periods by maintaining food at proper temperature. Food from the kitchen is usually inserted through the cabinet door(s) of one side and removed in the dining area through the door(s) of the other side. The warming cabinets are not intended to be used for cooking or reheating cool or cold food.
